DIRTY STACEE by Wesley J. Colford

In pursuit of online episodes of Star Trek, eleven year old Kirk accidentally stumbles upon the website of “Dirty Stacee”, a “barely legal” co–ed who offers a large variety of free, soft–core porn samples. Each clip is 30-seconds: Just enough time to fall in love.

A play about isolation, Star Trek, and internet pornography addiction.

DIRTY STACEE will be read for the first time in front of an audience at the glorious Theatre Passe Muraille Mainspace as part of the 2014 Paprika Festival. After months of development, we're thrilled to let you in for a sneak peek of what will hopefully be a full production in the next Aim for the Tangent season.

Featuring the all-star cast of Ruth Goodwin, Renée Haché, Tennille Read, Graeme Black Robinson, and Hilary Scott. With Dramaturgy by Matt McGeachy.

Two nights only:
Friday, April 11 @ 9:00 PM
Saturday, April 12 @ 3:00 PM

Tickets are only $5 and seating is limited so click HERE and book now!

After some informal readings in late 2013, Colford will be spending the beginning of 2014 working on a second draft of this new play with the assistance of a Theatre Creators Reserve grant from the Ontario Arts Council.

In April, an excerpt of the play will be produced on the Theatre Passe Muraille mainspace as part of the Paprika Festival, participating under the "Artists Lab", a new program designed to help foster new work from alumni of the festival who are over 21.

Following Paprika will be a full reading/workshop at the Tarragon Theatre Far Studio with an eye for a full Aim for the Tangent production later this year...
